WHEN YOU ARRIVE
For your first visit please do your best to arrive at least 15 minutes before your class starts.
Once you arrive at the studio let someone at the front desk know this is your first visit.
Fill out the waiver and tell us your shoe size (more about this in the what to wear section).
We will show you around the space and answer any questions you have.
The instructor will help you fit the bike for your height & help you clip in.
WHAT TO WEAR
Whatever you are most comfortable getting sweaty in!
Women can ride in a tank top, a T-shirt, or a sports bra. Both men and women will want to ride in form-fitting leggings or shorts that stay out of the way of moving pedals.
For our rides, you’ll need cycling shoes that are Delta clip or SPD clip compatible. If you already have your own, please bring them. If you don’t have your own then you can rent ours for $3. The shoes are free on your first visit.
If you forget to wear socks, we’ve got you covered. Buy your own for $3.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We are rhythmic riders. We ride to the beat of the music. 98% of the time we are riding out of the saddle. However, if you are a beginner we want you to ride seated until you feel ready to stand.
The lights are turned off once we begin. We ride by candlelight so you will be able to see the instructor.
If you are sensitive to loud music please bring earplugs, we ride with the music cranked up.
The playlists are created by our SKY instructors individually for each class. No two rides are ever the same.
We always start right on time. If you arrive and the door is locked please ring the bell to the left of the front door and we’ll open it for you. If you are more than 5 minutes late and we have a “walk-in” rider there is a possibility that your bike will be given away.
Remember: Zero Competition, Zero Judgment.
YOUR SAFETY
This is a full body workout so please always consult your doctor before starting any new fitness program.
Make sure your bike seat and handlebars are locked in place. Please let the instructor know if you need help.
Every one of our Instructors are certified and they will lead you to push and challenge yourself. However, you know your body more than anyone else. Listen to your body and monitor your pace, especially for your first ride.
We use weights at times and we also do a lot of arm choreography both in and out of the saddle. If you do not feel safe participating, you don’t have to. We love when our riders feel at home enough to just ride.
Drink water during the class and continue after.
If you are sore after the ride, that is normal. The sooner you return the sooner the soreness will go away. If it didn’t get better there wouldn’t be anyone attending classes. We promise it gets better and easier even though the workout is always a challenge.
